01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
About this place
Plates arrive enveloped in steam and the satisfying sizzle of hot cast iron. Tucked away in Nishi-Kamata, Steak Bikkuritei is a low-key Western-style steakhouse serving hearty meat dishes and homestyle Yoshoku fare in an unpretentious setting.
Sizzling Steaks and Classic Hamburg Patties
One of the daytime highlights is the bavette steak lunch, featuring tender skirt meat cooked to showcase the clean, concentrated flavour of lean beef, offered in 160 g or 240 g portions. The hamburg steak is just as popular, served in generous 200 g or 300 g patties. Diners can take it either with a rich, herb-scented demi-glace or a lighter Japanese-style grated daikon sauce. Plates come with glazed carrots and potatoes, and lunch orders include a cup of soup alongside your choice of rice or bread.
Complete Sets and Varied Starters
For an evening meal, full sirloin or tenderloin steak sets come with an appetiser or soup, salad, dessert, and an after-meal drink. Beyond beef, the kitchen also turns out crisp fried conger eel with tartar sauce, tuna carpaccio, and other seafood starters. To finish on a gentle note, there is a house-made custard pudding.
With an interior centred on table seating, the dining room has an easygoing, family-friendly feel that suits solo diners just as well as small groups. It is an accommodating stop whether you want to linger over wine, draft beer, and small plates or simply sit down for a generous midday steak.
